How Do I… Use the Library to Cope with my First Term in SMU? (Compulsory)

This training is essential even though you have used other libraries.

In this 1-hour hands-on training, you will learn:

•  how to locate information resources in the Li Ka Shing Library

•  how to use SMU PYXIS, our digital library to locate the materials you need
    for your courses and

•  critical research skills to get through your first semester at SMU

By the end of this training, you will get a head-start in your studies and discover other useful resources at your fingertips, in addition to Google!

This training is COMPULSORY for ALL new students.

For Local Students ONLY	27 – 29 July and 2 Aug ONLY	Instructions: Use your SMU ID and SMU Email ONLY [please no Hotmail and Gmail emails] Choose your session carefully to avoid clashes with other programmes such as School Camps, Academic Briefings and Career Service Orientation. Training places are limited; please do not change/cancel your confirmed session. Take note of your training time slot. Please be punctual. If you are not present within 5 min of the start of the training, your place will be given to someone else. School of Law (SOL) students please register for any one of your dedicated sessions.
