How Do I Achieve Academic Success in SMU?
In this compulsory 1-hour hands-on training course, you will learn to navigate SMU PYXIS, our Digital Library. You will use the online catalogue, find course reserve materials assigned by your professor, search for e-journals and retrieve articles using online databases. Loan privileges and other services offered by the library for your benefit will also be covered.
By the end of this training, you will discover scholarly resources in the library other than Google so as to complete your research projects and assignments while in SMU and be competitive with the local students who have already been trained to your our resources.
We will offer additional courses in your subject areas in February.
Maximum class size is 25 so places are limited.
This workshop is COMPULSORY for ALL INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE (SPRING) students.
