Uncover, Discover, Experience and Explore SMU PYXIS   [pronounced PIK-SIS].

You may have been to orientation and sat through other more advanced library training classes. But while you were away on break, we have rolled out our Digital Library, SMU PYXIS so we have designed new courses to introduce you to the new interfaces. You will discover new features such as searching for your course readings using the eCourse Reserves, using our Web 2.0-enabled online catalogue, and personalizing your library experience using “My Library Account”.  We will also give you a sneak peek of our ”federated search engine” where you can search multiple databases at one time. We will offer in-depth classes on searching across databases in your subject fields in February.

By the end of these sessions you will be able to navigate our Sea of Learning using SMU PYXIS for your research needs and achieve academic success in SMU.

We strongly recommend you attend any of the sessions scheduled in January.

Maximum class size is 25 so places are limited.
